Bait Breath

The brand Bait Breath is one of those Japanese lure manufacturers that live a bit in the shadows in Europe. And yet, in Japan, the brand is widely known for both its freshwater and marine products. It also plays a major role in the democratisation of fishing through its regular participation in competitions.

Bait Breath is best known to anglers for its soft lures. This is real expertise, and the variety on offer is really very interesting for black bass fishing. These are often fairly innovative and little-used actions that can make all the difference on educated fish.

But these lures can also be easily diverted in search of our carnivorous fish, both in freshwater and for sea fishing sessions. The 17cm version due out in 2023 is clearly aimed at pike, but will also be able to tackle big bass. Creatures and other small lures can be highly effective presentations for perch and trout. Pike-perch and sea bass will not be outdone by the slimmer shads.
