Stella SW 5000 XG SW-C sea spinning reel from Shimano, with 13kg drag and 97cm retrieve.
The Stella reel is an iconic model from Shimano. At the top end of the range, whether you're looking for a sea or freshwater reel, it still offers the most advanced technologies in terms of power, fluidity, endurance and lightness. With this in mind, we present the SW-C version of the Stella. It's been 6 years since Shimano last updated its model, or even made a small modification. Now it's time for the 2019 model, which promises to be even better than the SW-B.
In terms of aesthetics, there are really few changes. Instead, it's inside that the main technical changes are made. This is how we see the appearance of new names for technologies that we are almost discovering. The Infinity Drive, for example, has reduced friction by more than 30%, giving the reel longer life and, of course, greater fluidity and comfort. These aspects are essential when fishing with relatively heavy tackle. A sealing concept has been applied to protect the spool bearing to facilitate retrieve and reduce overheating when fighting. What's more, when it comes to temperature, Shimano has gone one step further with an internal spool cooling system. So, yes, new features that make this Shimano sea reel a cut above its predecessor.
The Stella 5000 HG SW-Cpresented here benefits from the latest technology. It's the smallest model in the range. It's perfect for fishing our waters but will also travel to exotic destinations in search of aggressive predators. It is ideal for rods up to 30lbs. You'll be able to count on fairly versatile fishing techniques thanks to its HG ration, which isn't the fastest. It's still 97cm per turn of the crank, which makes it ideal for surface fishing, jigging or simply fishing soft lures with a strong pull.
You'll find an extra spool for your Stella SW C reel, ideal for giving your reel a second life.
