Rebel

Created in 1962 by George Perrin, the Rebel brand was born out of the desire of its creator to manufacture plastic lures. The angler was unhappy with wooden lures, which never had the same characteristics from one product to the next. The depth, the swimming action and therefore the attractiveness varied all the time, so he was no longer sure whether the lure or the angler was responsible for the poor fishing. It was this observation that prompted him to think of a solution so that a lure produced could be produced many times over with exactly the same characteristics as the first. The only solution was the plastic injection mould. The minnow as we know it today was born.
