Description

The Deraball is an extraordinary lure! This little ball from Illex is somewhere between a shad and a crankbait. This Illex soft lure has therefore earned the name swimbait. At first glance, it looks like a simple toy, but it's nothing of the sort! The Deraball bears a striking resemblance to a wide range of prey, making it ideal for predators such as black bass and pike.

The Deraball's cylindrical shape and weight of just over 20g mean it can be cast quite a long way, but it can also be easily skippered under foliage. So it's easy to use from the shore! As a simple linear retrieve, the Deraball will work wonders thanks to a very tight swimming action that will undoubtedly arouse the interest of pike and black bass.

Initially designed for shallow water fishing, you can add ballast with a pear sinker or a grenade for deeper fishing. The "line true" system allows you to pass your leader through the plastic tube to bring your lure up the line during the fight. This way, when fighting a pike, the rubber of the Deraball is protected from their sharp teeth.

The Deraball's ingenious assembly features a top-quality treble hook with two knotted antennae for securing the tackle. The hook is mounted on a rolling swivel to allow 360° rotation and minimise the risk of unhooking.
