Daiwa Spinning reel Daiwa Ballistic LT 2017

This new Ballistic 2017 is equipped with the latest concept from Daiwaconcept LT. These two letters stand for Light and Tough. Anglers tend to always want lighter, more comfortable equipment to catch bigger and bigger fish. Daiwa has developed this technology with this in mind.

It's probably one of the first reels to adapt to the angler rather than the other way round. The principle is quite simple: the control wheel has been reinforced and the whole frame redefined to reduce its volume. So Daiwa gives this example, the lifespan of a ballistic 2000 LT is increased by 150% compared to the old model. It should not be forgotten that the reduction of the frame also entails a reduction in weight of around 25%, or 50g on the same model in 2000!

The spools have also been redesigned to take finer and stronger braid without having to worry about backing. The rest of the reel is built around Zaion and Carbon for even greater strength and lightness.
