The Morethan Branzino AGS rods once again push the limits of lightness and sensitivity. They are without doubt the most sensitive and accurate rods you can use for lure fishing. Inspired by the common name for sea bass in Italy, Branzino rods have been developed for lure fishing for Labrax in Japan. Our rods are exclusively adjusted to fish European Labrax according to specifications that we pass on to the Daiwa manufacturing plant in Tokyo. This is how these exceptional rods are created, using the latest technologies such as SVF Compile-X carbon, which blends several types of resin to fix the carbon fibres better. Daiwa uses Toray's nanotechnology and optimises it with its own manufacturing processes to adjust the resins down to the nanometre! This manufacturing technique produces ultra-high density blanks that are more sensitive, lighter and stronger all at the same time. To push the level of excellence of this range even further, new AGS carbon rings have been tested. They are 30% lighter. The carbon frame retains its thickness but has a thinner envelope covering a new silver-plated cobalt oxide ring. The 30% lighter and 35% smaller frame increases casting distances tenfold by greatly reducing tip vibration during casting. To develop these new ultra-high-tech carbons, engineers at Daiwa Japan used ESS technology, which uses digital sensors to analyse blank force during casting and tension. The computer records and corrects the action of the rod with microscopic precision to fine-tune the expertise of specialist anglers carried out upstream.
