Fishing in a saltwater environment requires hard-wearing equipment. Salt has a reputation for devouring everything in its path. That's why you need the right tackle for saltwater fishing from a boat. Line and braid for saltwater boat fishing must be salt-resistant and of the right length to fill the deep spools of dedicated reels and remain solid throughout the season.

The braid is a line body widely used for lure fishing, including boat fishing. It provides better bite transmission and very little stretch.
For sea fishing, it must also be strong enough to withstand salt damage. It also needs to be able to withstandabrasion when you're fishing along rocks, oyster beds or near bouchots.
The low elasticity of braid also makes it ideal for deep sea bass and pollack fishing, while guaranteeing optimal hooking.
As with braid, lines such as nylons or fluorocarbons must be salt-resistant. They are often used to design leaders in the same way as for freshwater lure fishing.
This is also the case at sea, where the leaders are longer to preserve the braid of the rocks and to maintain greater discretion.
This is why sea anglers use fluorocarbon more often. Like braidfluorocarbon, this filament is less elastic but remains more discreet. This makes fluorocarbon a great companion for deep sea fishing.
