The Fat Smasher is a Crankbait/Swimbait hybrid. You can fish it in the same way as a surface crankbait: a low rod and slow retrieve will give it an undulating action and give it a big wobble, which is very attractive for a lure with a swimbait body. With a fast retrieve and a slightly higher rod, you'll get a very noisy surface or sub-surface action that's perfect for structure fishing. Whatever the method, the Fat Smasher produces violent attacks from fish in all conditions.
