The sMRT personal MOB AIS DSC Class M distress beacon is an innovative maritime safety device, specially designed to improve the location and rescue of people who have fallen overboard. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, it combines AIS (Automatic Identification System) and VHF DSC (Digital Selective Calling) systems to transmit two distinct emergency signals, ensuring effective and immediate communication.

The sMRT ALERT relies on an advanced combination of GNSS GPS and Galileo receivers, allowing for precise location and real-time updating of the position of the person in distress. This data is relayed via AIS and VHF, thus facilitating search and rescue operations, even in critical conditions. In addition, the beacon emits sound and visual signals to ensure optimal visibility.

In addition to its technical performance, the beacon integrates an application compatible with smartphones via NFC technology. This application makes it easier to use by offering management and verification features of the device's activation status, thus enhancing its accessibility. Meeting the new requirements of Division 219 (pending validation by the ANFR), the sMRT ALERT is particularly suitable for people working alone on a boat. Designed to be attached to a life jacket, it offers increased personal safety in all circumstances.

Its activation can be manual or automatic upon contact with water, thanks to the "True Water Activation" system, which activates after more than two seconds of contact with water. In compliance with the European regulation ECC/DEC/ (22)02, the sMRT ALERT is a Class M equipment that combines reliability, robustness, and modernity.
