The Technium nylon is a monofilament fishing line that stands out for its low elasticity, similar to a fluorocarbon. This Shimano nylon offers superior strength and high wear resistance, while sporting a gray hue to blend into the environment, in fresh or sea water. Its innovative three-layer structure reduces linear elasticity to only 12%, thus ensuring optimal flexibility for easy fishing and better lure or bait presentation.
This nylon can be used for carp fishing but also for predators such as trout, pike, perch or black bass. Technium nylon is recognized for its exceptional quality and has been a preferred choice for many years. With its reduced elasticity and excellent strength/diameter ratio, it offers an ideal balance between braids and standard nylons. Its casting ability and increased sensitivity provide a noticeable advantage. In addition, its limited elasticity significantly improves the long-distance fishing experience compared to braids.
The three-layer design of the Technium incorporates an ultra-resistant core, reducing stretch by half compared to classic nylons. This property greatly improves bite detection, whether in carp fishing, feeder fishing, or lure fishing while maintaining sufficient elasticity to fight the fish with confidence.
The intermediate layer gives this fishing line a palpable flexibility from the first grip, which optimizes casting performance and strengthens knot solidity. Finally, the outer layer protects the line against UV and gives it a smooth surface that minimizes friction during casting and increases its abrasion resistance.
