The X-Rap Otus was already a great lure for pike fishing. For the 2024 season, Rapala has developed a 100% soft version of the Otus, the Soft Otus. This soft bait is an 18cm grub with a large comma that is sure to attract plenty of pike. Now available in a 100% version at soft bait, the Soft Otus has the same swimming action as the X-Rap® Otus. Unlike the X-Rap Otus, the Soft Otus offers greater versatility thanks to its infinite range of rigging options.

This large soft bait is designed to fish for large predators in a variety of situations. This grub produces an attractive sideways rolling action, even on slow retrieves. When you pause, the tail stabilises the lure as it slowly descends through the water column. This action is sure to make any pike in the vicinity cringe. You'll also appreciate the Soft Otus when fishing for catfish or when the water is very cold.

Thanks to its soft plastic construction, the Soft Otus displaces a lot of water in its path and generates lots of strong vibrations. The Soft Otus' textured 3D finish skin imitates scales giving it a unique and realistic appearance.
