Here's a novelty from 2024 that should not go unnoticed by all trout anglers. Bassday the new Mononofu 35S jerkminnow is a little marvel for trout fishing in small to medium-sized rivers.

At 3.5 cm and weighing just 3 g, this Mononofu 35S jerkminnow offers a small prey that will be particularly effective at the start of the season. Its low centre of gravity will also give it a good rowling action on its descent which will be done at low speed to be as natural as possible.

The range of colours on offer is simply superb. You'll find both natural colours for lighter waters and flashy colours that are excellent for standing out when the water is tinted. The Japanese brand also offers a number of imitation insect colours, in particular number 37, which we think looks particularly good.

Two size 18 treble hooks on size 0 splits rings will be used.
