Description
The brand's Casting rod Orochi F6 1/2-66XT Megabass is built from a blank made from organic fibres. These 'X10' blanks incorporate materials of natural origin such as plant fibres (cellulose microfibrils), giving these rods surprisingly high vibration-damping and shock-absorbing performance.
What's more, this new blank has a tensile strength that surpasses that of fibreglass, while being much lighter. As a result, Megabass offers a range of rods with a particularly smooth action without compromising on weight. The rod Orochi F6 1/2-66XT has a regular action, ideal for medium-sized hard swimbaits such as Jointed Claw 178 or Vatalion 115. This rod Megabass is also recommended for use with spinnerbaits and bladed jigs.
The "X10" project team were keen to ensure that this blank benefited from sustainable manufacturing using these natural materials, while also helping to reduce CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process. Of all the composite materials used by ITO Engineering to date, this is the most durable and functional.
