The Tidal XT Long Cast is a very strong and very light big pit style reel. This surfcasting reel is designed for long-distance casting from beaches or the coast. No stone has been left unturned in the design of this reel. Penn has created a superb surfcasting reel featuring a rigid, lightweight XRC carbon body and rotor, a durable CNC gear machined from premium metals and a virtually waterproof sealed drag with HT-100 carbon washers that isolates it from water, dirt or sand.

Available in size 7000 or 8000, this reel stands out for its ability to facilitate accurate long-distance casts. This is due in part to the shape and design of the spool, but also to PENN®'s innovative X-Slow Leveline technology, which allows the reel to make more than 50 line turns per oscillation. This gives you impeccable line winding, allowing the line to fly freely off the spool, cast after cast. It also makes retrieving long casts much easier.

The Tidal XT Long Cast is equipped with 9+1 sealed ball bearings that contribute to its smoothness when reeling in or fighting a fish. While the Quick Drag system lets you quickly switch between drag and free spool functions.
