The Whale Fall 137 swimbait from Ravencraft is a sublime articulated swimbait with a perfect finish! This swimbait comes in 4 colours and 2 swimming depths: slow floating and flutter sinking. The colours have a matt finish and a smooth surface with no scales, making them ideal for predators.
The Whale Fall 137 in flutter sinking density takes 10 seconds to sink to a depth of nearly 2 metres, a speed of 5 seconds per metre travelled! The Whale Fall is a swimbait that's easy to cast yet still fairly light, making it a pleasure to use.
When retrieved in a straight line, the Whale Fall has a natural "S" shape that's totally crazy and absolutely devastating for a wide range of predators such as black bass and pike. By applying a pause on the retrieve, this swimbait sinks below the layer of water. After numerous trials, the best way to use this lure is to cast it, allow it to sink for 5 or 6 seconds and then retrieve it with 3 turns of the crank.
The Whale Fall is a first choice lure for pike fishing over weed beds but also for stalking big perch and black bass. We advise you to retrieve the Whale Fall slowly, keeping the tip close to the surface so that it doesn't rise too quickly. This is a silent lure with no beads. Only a slight clicking sound is emitted on retrieve.
For deeper fishing, you can add a pear-shaped sinker. On the descent, this swimbait is super attractive. The lure looks very realistic and undulates almost flat with the head tilted slightly downwards to present its sides alternately.
The swimming action causes the tail of the Whale Fall to swivel from right to left during the descent, allowing the lure to swerve a little wider, showing its belly more than its sides.
To secure the side fins of the lure we suggest you glue them with a drop of cyanolite glue after positioning them.
