Description
The SpeedMaster II is a trolling reel from the brand Shimano. This reel has been designed to offer good retrieve speed. In fact, the Speedmaster II boasts a 6.2:1 ratio that allows you to retrieve 97cm of line per turn of the crank. This power reel is built to offer top-of-the-range performance and reliability in a compact, lightweight package. What's more, it offers even more power when you shift it into low gear. So you can fight the biggest fish.
This reel is a versatile speed multiplier, ideal for covering a wide range of sea fishing techniques. The SpeedMaster II is a compact reel with the added advantage of being mid-priced.
You can use it for bottom fishing in the deepest oceans, jigging in shallow waters or trolling for tuna, the SpeedMaster II has speed and power to spare when you need it.
The SpeedMaster II reel benefits from a remarkably compact Hagane SpeedMaster II rigid aluminium body for easy handling, especially in smaller sizes, and prevents any misalignment of the internal moving parts. It also features Shimano 's high-performance E.I. surface treatment to protect against corrosion. Inside, the SpeedMaster has 4 armoured S A-RB bearings, which resist corrosion and ensure smooth running, even at the highest speeds or under extreme pressure.
The powerful brake is operated by an easy-to-use lever that engages securely. As a bonus, a spare brake lever is also included, which produces a less aggressive brake curve for optimum use with monofilament when fishing pelagic species.
