Description
The AX Cardiff casting rod is a rod from the brand Shimano for trout fishing with bait finesse system. It's a short 1.93m rod that's easy to handle and responsive for trout fishing in small streams. A casting rod allows you to cast faster than with a spinning rod. What's more, it can be used with one hand. The AX Cardiff casting rod features a Moderate action to absorb the jumping action of trout and limit their chances of becoming unhooked.
Its power is between 1.5 and 8g, making it ideal for use with hard bait, small soft lures and spoons. Casting for trout means you'll always be in contact with your lure as soon as it hits the surface. The AX Cardiff casting rod is fitted with 10 Fuji titanium and SiC stainless steel guides so you always have contact with the line. It also features an exclusive Shimano Ci4+ reel seat that complements the finesse of the blanks and high-quality cork handles.
The blank used for the AX Cardiff casting rod is ultra-light and made from a blend of Spiral X and Hi-Power X carbon. Weighing in at just 93g, it's easy to handle and a pleasure to use all day long. These technologies combine to reduce blank twist when the rod is under tension while casting or fighting a fish.
