Spintails are all-purpose lures that are highly effective on perch, pike-perch and pike. The Tail Spinner 3D Sticklebait Tailspin from Savage Gear is an ultra-versatile lure capable of catching all types of predator. The 13g model measures 7.3cm and is ideal for pike fishing at the start of the season and zander fishing in June/July.

Its dense body and paddle allow you to quickly scout fishing spots. This allows you to locate active fish.

Perch are the prime targets, as they are extremely sensitive to the action of the lure, which imitates a small fish in flight.

To maximise its effectiveness, we recommend using a linear action with pulls. This animation imitates a fleeing prey very well. Pulling animations from the bottom to the surface are also excellent. What's more, its paddle comes into action as soon as it falls into the water. The eyelet on the top of its body will allow you to adapt your swimming depth to suit your spot.

You can use it on its own or in a teaser rig by adding a small soft bait 50 to 70cm higher up. This type of rig imitates a predator hunting prey. This behaviour stimulates competition for food with perch. What's more, this rig can sometimes be used to catch 2 perch at a time when the shoal is large.
