Description
Smith, through its series of Offshore Stick GTK rods, offers a model that is likely to become one of the references for fishing for dolphinfish and roosterfish. Its characteristics speak for themselves, with 2m24 for 289g and a power of 5PE. It is a model that will be able to withstand while combining superb finesse.
This series of rods benefits from a brand new composite material to obtain an exceptional new generation blank, which combines kevlar, titanium and 30 and 40T carbon. This innovation allows the rod to be 25% more resistant than classic carbons, while reducing its diameter by about 9%.
The GTK 74 PG benefits from this new approach by its lightness and elasticity which ensures long distance casts that rely on the double ligature fuji SIC Ocean rings and a diamond wrapping. To give you a concrete example, it will be possible to cast 80g over 90m away.
This rod will be very good for casting metal jigs and will excel for casting and animating surface lures.
