The 3D Fat Smashtail is a surface lure from the brand Savage Gear with a length of 8cm and a weight of 12g. This propbait type surface lure is very noisy on the water. It is often referred to as a reaction lure because predators become aggressive as it approaches.

Unlike usual propbaits, the 3D Fat Smashtail has a very round belly. Its morphology is based on a 3D scan of a trout fry. Thus, its tail is slightly below the surface. Upon contact with water, its propeller located at the tail spins and stirs the water, generating a long trail of bubbles.
