The 3D Fat Smashtail is a surface lure from the brand Savage Gear it is 8cm long and weighs 12g. This propbait-type surface lure is very noisy on the water. It is often described as a reaction lure because predators become aggressive when they approach it.

Unlike usual propbaits, the 3D Fat Smashtail has a very round belly. Its morphology is based on a 3D scan of a trout. Its tail is slightly below the surface. When it comes into contact with the water, the propeller at the tail turns and stirs up the water, generating a long trail of bubbles.
