Description

Minn Kota on-board chargers are fixed, watertight chargers designed to remain in your boat while charging. This means you don't have to take your batteries out of your boat to charge them.

They are completely autonomous during charging and recharge your weight batteries in 3 stages:

Stage 1, initial charge: they charge your batteries at high amperage until they reach 75% charge (14.4 Vdc).
Stage 2, absorption: They automatically reduce the voltage to 13.5 Vdc to limit gas formation.
Stage 3, maintenance: Finally, they maintain the voltage between 13.2 Vdc and 13.5 Vdc and the amperage between 0.1 and 0.3 amps to avoid any loss of battery life.

This means your batteries can remain permanently connected to the mains without any risk of overheating or damage to the battery.

Choose your charger model according to your installation.
For 2 12V batteries in series, choose a charger with 2 outputs so that the 2 batteries are charged evenly. Similarly, a 3-outlet charger for 3 12V batteries in series.

Depending on the amperage, 5 or 10 amps, your batteries will charge more or less quickly.
