The Ulterra BT front electric motor is the jewel in the engineers' crown Minn Kota. It inherits the reliability of the Terrova, with the auto stow deploy system. It is also combined with another automated system, the IPilot, which adjusts the length of the submerged shaft (auto power trim).
The Ulterra BT motor is available in IPilot BT and IPilot Link BT versions.
You can choose between 3 types of integrated sensor:
- US2: Universale Sonar 2
- MDI: Mega Down Imaging
- MSI: Mega Side Imaging
The IPilot BT and IPilot Link BT models come with a Gyro sensor as standard. Gyro sensor as standard on IPilot BT and IPilot Link BT. You can also use an application on your smartphone to control your motor without your remote control.
IPilot: This is a CoPilot that works in conjunction with the GPS: i-Tracks, spot Lock (electronic anchor) and Cruise control (cruise control). The GPS is built into the engine, and the remote control is used only to activate the functions made accessible by its presence. The buttons on the i-Pilot™ remote control have been designed to provide easy, instinctive access to all the functions, leaving the user free to concentrate on fishing.
IPilot Link: In addition to GPS functionality, it gives you control over your boat by linking your motor to your sounder Humminbird. You can define Spot-Locks, record trajectories, follow depth contours, automatically navigate to your favourite spots and control speed and direction.
Spot-Lock : This feature allows you to stabilise your boat within a 60 cm radius of a point stored in the remote control (or in the handset with iPilot Link). So it stays in tune with you, even under the effects of wind or current.
AutoPilot: The precision of your GPS keeps the boat on course in the predefined direction while correcting for the effects of drift due to current or wind. Press a button and let your i-Pilot Link® Bluetooth® maintain the right course.
Digital Maximizer: Without the Maximizer, the engines run at a constant power, whatever the boat's speed. This system results in over-consumption of electricity and overheating of the engine. With the Maximizer, you choose the speed you want and the motor will adapt to the course, reducing energy consumption and extending the life of the battery and the mechanics for the same available power.
LIFT-ASSIST system: This system enables the engine to be raised effortlessly with just one finger, thanks to the Lift Assist system. At the touch of a button, the engine is raised or extended. The circuit breaker automatically stops your engine.
Integrated MEGA Side/Down transducer: Thanks to the transducer integrated into the motor, you get crystal-clear Humminbird MEGA Side and MEGA Down Imaging with a sleek look and protected casing.
