Mounts for live catfish fishing

Catfish are large carnivores. It feeds on a wide variety of foods, but its menu concentrates on fish smaller than itself (the opposite would be complicated).

For effective fishing of this specimen, the use of livebait is a good idea.

However, if you want to fish with a 300g to 1.5kg livebait, the lure you use must be able to support the weight rig used must be able to withstand this weight and the strength of the catfish.

Mounts for pellet fishing

Pellets are a type of kibble used for fishing. This bait is also used for carp fishing. Pellets are fitted with different attractants such as earthworm, crustacean or squid to attract catfish from a distance and whet their appetite.

These rigs are similar to those used for carp and the use of boilies. The pellets are attached to a hair below the hook using a pellet needle.

For catfish, this type of rig can be adapted to the weight and size of the fish you're after. Very strong iron hooks and a line body made from braid can withstand several tens of kilos.
